Overview

The Events Manager will work with cross-functional teams, including executive stakeholders to provide strategic planning, communication and logistical support for company hosted and industry events, including annual sales organization events.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the annual event planning and to include product marketers, science leads, and other cross-functional leaders.
  • Maintain the company event calendar and develop communication strategies and content (working with internal comms) around upcoming events.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage logistics and staffing for in-person and virtual events.
  • Propose and align to budget while tracking expenses and managing the procurement process.
  • Manage the production of Newco webinars.
  • Coordinate event planning kick offs with stakeholders to define goals and objectives for each event, pre and post event promotion/communication, required content, giveaways, etc. Lead follow-up discussions to ensure smooth execution.
  • Think “outside of the box” to come up with creative ways to meet defined goals
  • Supervise all event support staff.
  • Align with analytics teams on how to measure success and evaluating each event through analytical assessments and qualitative post-mortems.
  • Continuously monitor and communicate best practices.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • 5+ years of event management and execution experience
  • Knowledge of key events within the life sciences industry
  • Experience with large-scale (1,000+ attendees) conferences, for both virtual and in-person events
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience with event technology
  • Understanding of event KPIs
  • Solution-driven mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work across all functions with the ability to manage people at all levels
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with teams, stakeholders and third-party partners
  • Self-starter, proactive, creative, and analytical
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to travel 20-40%
